Naughty By Nature Honored in East Orange NJ

East Orange - Mayor Ted R. Green and the East Orange City Council dedicated the new basketball court at Oval Park on Friday, September 20th. The event payed homage to native sons, Vincent “Vin Rock” Brown, Anthony “Treach” Criss, and Keir “Kay Gee” Gist, the Grammy-award winning trio that makes up Naughty By Nature.

West Orange Arts Council Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Gallery Exhibition

WEST ORANGE – The West Orange Arts Council (WOAC) presents Unidos Juntos de Nuevo (United Together Again) an art exhibition in observance of Hispanic Heritage Month. Together we celebrate our multicultural community with a diverse tapestry of art about our backgrounds, stories, and experiences. This exhibit, installed by gallerist Rey Arvelo, features the works of Judyann Affronti, Peter Astor, Victor Cuya, Lyman Dally, Mary Franklin, Stanley Gavidia, Kathleen Heron, Carol T. Jenkins, Chris Mauro, Cathleen McCoy Bristol, Frank Niccoletti, Sylvia Padilla, Giselle Reyes Jimenez, Linda Strobert, & Juan Yusa.

Paris, France — The Paris 2024 Olympics have turned into a grand celebration for New Jersey, as several of its top athletes returned home with a dazzling array of medals. Belize Toddler Comes to Newark for Life-Saving Heart Surgery

NEWARK – Doctors from the Children’s Heart Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, part of the Children’s Health network of RWJBarnabas Health and one of the leading heart centers in the country and the only pediatric heart surgery center in New Jersey, performed life-saving surgery on a two-year-old patient suffering from a rare congenital heart disease. The surgery included a patch of the pulmonary artery.

NEWARK - Mayor Ras J. Baraka joined with HelloFresh, No Kid Hungry, and Newark Board of Education Superintendent Roger León to distribute 4,000 free meals to families and youth at risk and in need yesterday at Chancellor Avenue Elementary School. The school is located at 321 Chancellor Avenue in Newark’s South Ward.
